SACE investigating exam hoax letter

Thursday, November 9, 2017

The department has been made aware by the SACE Board that a hoax letter has been circulated on Facebook suggesting there was a breach in the Biology examination, held on Monday 6 November.

The fake letter suggests every student would need to re-sit the exam as there was a serious breach and was published on SACE Board letterhead and included a copied signature of the Acting Chief Executive Jan Raymond.

The department and the SACE Board would like to reassure students and parents that this letter was a hoax and there was no breach, and no student will need to re-sit this examination.

The SACE Board is investigating this very serious issue.
