Kangaroo Island Economic Development Outlook released

22 July 2016

The role of our Kangaroo Island Community Education (KICE) in helping to support skill development in students and adults to help with employment is highlighted in the Kangaroo Island Development Outlook, released on 14 June.

KICE has rural production facilities at its Parndana campus and provides sustainably farmed barramundi and hydroponic herbs to Southern Ocean Lodge, which was featured on ABC TVs Landline program.

The Kangaroo Island Development Outlook highlights a number of other collaborations and looks at the opportunities that are possible when government (state and local) and local peak bodies collaborate. Such partnerships can support tangible economic development in South Australia’s regional areas.

To read the Outlook, which sets out the future development on the Island in the short to medium term as well as current projects and area of future growth, visit the Office of the Commissioner for Kangaroo Island or download it.
