A new first-class music suite that includes a performance space and high-tech recording studio is at the centre of a $4.2 million redevelopment has officially opened at Windsor Gardens Secondary College.
The redevelopment will be an asset to the school’s growing music program, providing greater opportunities for students.
Learning an instrument fosters creativity and assists students to develop their motor skills and coordination.
The new music suite has three classrooms and six specialist spaces for music instruction, practice, recording and performance. It also has teacher preparation areas and increased storage space for instruments.
The campus redevelopment also includes a new physical education area and canteen, and an existing classroom has been renovated to provide an electronics area.
Minor upgrades to the façade of the school have been made to improve street presence and enhance the overall look of the site.
