A site's approved constitution does not usually need to change, even if it’s a few years old. There are two exceptions to this – when:
- a site’s name changes
- the membership structure of the council needs to change.
A change to the membership structure might need to happen if:
- you consistently find you don’t have enough council members
- the number of students at the site changes
- the needs of the site change and you have different committees to work with.
This is not just a change to the approved school council constitution – it needs an entirely new constitution (and approval) based on the Governing Council Model Constitution – template (Word 141KB).
