RAN-EC training required to work with the department

The review and update of the DECD 2015 to 2017 Responding to Abuse and Neglect Education and Care (RAN-EC) training program has begun and will continue to the end of the 2017 school year. The 2018 to 2020 updated training program will be available from the end of February 2018. Until then, the 2015 to 2017 training program remains a core training requirement for all staff, volunteers, third party providers and contractors on DECD sites.

To be employed in the department’s schools and services you must have completed a full day Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RAN-EC) training session.

The RAN-EC training is the only course accepted by the department.
